Some interesting (but frightening) statistics:

• The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) applies to all construction work including domestic projects

• If you should have a visit from HSE, the charge is £165.00 PER HOUR– and could ALSO close the site till a First Aider is qualified and first aid box is present

• The duties for a small builder start as soon as they are appointed by the client to carry out the construction work

• You can be charged with Gross Negligence Manslaughter, if you get this wrong and a death occurs!!
